ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Brief
GDH Studio is a new independent game studio with a unique mission: to develop games that raise awareness of social and class issues. They needed a brand identity from the ground up that would feel professional and established, yet also reflect their disruptive, anti-mainstream ethos. The challenge was to create a brand that was serious and impactful, avoiding the typical clichés of the gaming industry.

My Role: Art Direction for Motion
As the lead creative on this project, I was responsible for the end-to-end creation of the GDH Studio brand identity. My role encompassed the entire creative process:

Brand Strategy & Concept: Translating the studio's core values into a powerful visual concept.

Logo & Logotype Design: Crafting a mark that was bold, timeless, and symbolic.

Brand System Development: Defining the typography, color palette, and rules for brand application.
Motion Identity: Bringing the brand to life with a signature animation.
The Creative Concept
The conceptual core was to create a brand that felt like a "seal of quality and purpose." The monogram-style logo is strong and architectural, conveying stability and seriousness. The sharp, clean lines and the minimalist black-and-white palette were chosen to represent the studio's clear, uncompromising vision and to stand out in a visually saturated market. This is a brand that doesn't scream for attention; it commands it.
The Result
The final result is a complete and flexible brand identity system that works seamlessly across digital platforms, merchandise, and in-game assets. I delivered a comprehensive brand package that gave GDH Studio a strong, professional foundation to launch their mission-driven games into the market. The signature animation provides a memorable and impactful opening for all their future content.
